Sri Ramakrishna Gurukula Vidya Mandiram Higher Secondary School, run by Ramakrishna Ashrama, Thrissur, has achieved a remarkable sporting milestone by emerging champions in the Under-17 category of the Thrissur Revenue District-Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament.
The tournament is the official grassroots football competition conducted to identify talented young players and select the best school teams to represent the district. With this impressive victory, the school’s Under-17 football team has earned the honour of representing Thrissur Revenue District at the forthcoming Kerala State Subroto Mukherjee Football Championship.
The Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament is one of India’s most prestigious inter-school football competitions, providing a platform for young footballers to showcase their talent at higher levels. Winners at the state level qualify to participate in the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament, held annually in New Delhi, where school teams from across India and several other countries compete.
