As part of its humanitarian service activities, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri organized a special Mango Distribution Programme to bring joy and nutritional support to economically underprivileged families residing in remote forest villages, tea garden areas, and border regions of North Bengal.
The programme was conducted over five days—2nd, 3rd, 6th, 8th, and 11th July 2026. During this initiative, each beneficiary family received 5 kilograms of fresh mangoes comprising three popular varieties—Dasahari, Lakshman Bhog, and Fajali. The programme was successfully carried out by the monastics of the Ashrama with the wholehearted support of dedicated volunteers and staff members.
A total of 452 families from ten villages and forest settlements benefited from the programme. The distribution was carried out as follows:

In addition to supporting families, the Ashrama also distributed 500 grams of fresh mangoes to each student in four schools, enabling children to enjoy the seasonal fruit and promoting nutritional well-being. A total of 970 students benefited from this initiative.
