At Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Visakhapatnam, an Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Message and its Relevance to Youth” was conducted for college students below the age of 25 years.
Over 3,500 students from more than 115 junior and degree colleges across 9 districts in Andhra Pradesh participated enthusiastically in the competition.
A total of 22 winners were awarded certificates, books, and cash prizes ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹2,000. In addition, certificates of participation and a book on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda were given to all participants.
The prize distribution ceremony was held on September 11, 2025, at Ramakrishna Mission High School, Visakhapatnam. The event was graced by Prof. G.S.N. Raju, Chancellor of Centurion University, Vizianagaram, and Former Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, as the Chief Guest.
