On behalf of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, the branch centre Ramakrishna Mission, Chengalpattu, conducted two free eye camps to serve the rural community.
Malliyankaranai, Kancheepuram (8 March 2026) A total of 88 patients (39 men, 46 women, and 3 children) were screened. Following the examinations:
- 16 patients were admitted for cataract surgery in Chennai.
- 44 patients received free spectacles.
- 12 patients were provided with free medicines.
Meyyur, Thiruvallur (22 March 2026) In this camp, 88 patients (37 men, 34 women, and 17 children) were screened. Medical experts identified 16 patients (09 men and 07 women) requiring cataract operations. These individuals were subsequently admitted to an eye hospital in Chennai for surgery.
These services were rendered free of charge as part of the Mission’s ongoing medical welfare activities.
