Ramakrishna Mission, Chengalpattu, organized a Free Eye Camp on November 2, 2025, at Vettur in the Chengalpattu district, on behalf of Ramakrishna Math, Chennai. The camp aimed to provide essential vision screening and treatment for the local community.
Key Statistics and Services Provided:
- Total Patients Screened: 97
- (34 Male, 60 Female, and 3 Children)
- Surgical Referrals (Cataract): 14 patients were identified and subsequently admitted to an eye hospital in Chennai for necessary cataract operations.
- Spectacles Distribution: 49 patients received free spectacles to correct their vision.
- Medicine Distribution: 5 patients were provided with free medication to treat various eye conditions.
The camp successfully delivered comprehensive eye care services, ensuring patients received proper screening, corrective lenses, medication, or essential surgical referrals.
