Flood Relief: Durban, May 2022


Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Durban, is continuing relief services following the devastating floods experienced in April 2022.

In May 2022, the centre distributed 137.5 litres cooking oil, 700kg rice, 50kg pea dal, 20kg lentils and rice, 50kg porridge, 290kg sugar, 100kg salt, 390 canned beans, 200 canned fish, 5 bottles peanut butter, 590kg mealie meal, 15 000 teabags, 250kg flour, 50kg pasta, 40 packs sanitary towels, 100 paper plates, 6 litres milk, 3 litres disinfectant, 100 refuse bags, 40 bars laundry soap, 3 kg washing powder, 300 candles, 250 litres bottled water, 40 loaves bread and 40kg assorted vegetables to 200 families in Chatsworth and Ladysmith.

Cooked meals were also distributed to 140 people in Chatsworth.
