Daily labourers, fishermen and poor farmers have been suffering due to cyclone and heavy rain in recent times in Thiruvarur, Thanjavur and Nagapattinam districts.
Our devotees and volunteers surveyed the affected areas. Basing on their report and appeal from the affected people, Ramakrishna math, Thanjavur, a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Chennai started Flood Relief Services through our Bhava Prachar Parishad centres.
11 Dec ’20: The centre distributed rice and groceries to 2000 families in Mannarkudi, Adhirampattinam, Tiruturaipundi and Talaijnayiru areas. Each family received Rice 5 Kgs, Dhal 500 g, Gingelly oil 500 ml, Turmeric powder 100 g, Chilli powder 100 g, Puli 200 g, Salt 1kg, Sugar 500 g, matchboxes 2, Bathing Soap, Washing Soap, Candle, Biscuit Packet, Milk Powder.
