As part of the nationwide celebration of National Sports Day 2026, observed from 28 to 30 August 2026 under the theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat,” a friendly football match was organised between the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Balurghat and the students of Ramakrishna Mission, Balurghat Students’ Home.
The match was held on 28 August 2026 at 4:30 p.m. and consisted of two halves of 20 minutes each with a 10-minute interval. Prior to the commencement, Swami Satyadharmananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Balurghat, and Shri Sandip Sarkar, Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Balurghat, were introduced to the players of both teams.
Both teams displayed commendable teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the encounter. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya emerged victorious. Trophies were presented to the participating teams at the conclusion of the match.
The event promoted sportsmanship, physical fitness, and friendly camaraderie between the two institutions.dition, each donor was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a pen as a token of gratitude for their generous contribution.
