On behalf of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, the branch centre Ramakrishna Mission, Chengalpattu organised a Free Eye Camp on 31 May 2026 at Pilapur, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, as part of its ongoing medical outreach and humanitarian service activities.
A total of 91 patients availed themselves of the camp — 37 male and 54 female — receiving free ophthalmic screening and consultation.
Of those screened, 7 patients (5 male and 2 female) were identified as requiring surgical intervention for cataract and were subsequently referred and admitted to an eye hospital in Chennai for the necessary operations. Additionally, 54 patients (26 male and 28 female) were provided with free spectacles suited to their respective prescriptions.
