Free Medical Camps, Eye Camp & Blood Donation Camps: Itanagar, April 2026

Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar

Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar, carried out a series of free medical service programmes during the month of April 2026, extending healthcare to underserved communities across Arunachal Pradesh through eye screening, general medical consultation, and blood donation initiatives.

Free Eye Camp — 29 April 2026

A Free Eye Camp was organised on 29 April 2026 at Ramakrishna Seva Ashram, Tezpur. A total of 170 patients availed themselves of the facility and underwent free eye screening. Among those examined, 10 patients were diagnosed with cataract-related blindness and were subsequently brought to Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar, for surgical treatment. The surgical procedures are presently underway.

Free Medical Camp — 19 April 2026

A Free Medical Camp was held on 19 April 2026 at Don Bosco College, Jullang. The camp benefited 71 individuals, each of whom received free medical consultation along with essential medicines at no cost.

Blood Donation Camps — 5, 7 & 18 April 2026

Three Blood Donation Camps were conducted at the RKMH Seminar Hall on 5, 7, and 18 April 2026. The camps witnessed enthusiastic and voluntary participation, with 75 donors presenting themselves across the three sessions. A total of 72 units of blood were successfully collected, constituting a significant contribution to the lifesaving medical care services of the hospital and the wider region.
