The Gangasagar mela which started on 12 January 2021 was declared closed by the Government of West Bengal on 15 January 2021 evening. Ramakrishna Mission, Manasadwip organised a camp at the Ganga Sagar unit of the ashrama where 122 pilgrims (69 males and 53 females) stayed from 12 January to 15 January 2021. The ashrama served meals to 314 pilgrims. Every evening after sadhyarati the ashrama conducted religious discourses to the devotees present. They organized a youth camp and procession on 12 January to mark the National Youth Day.
