Guardians’ Convention: Krishnanagar, August 2025

A Guardians’ Convention was held on 31 August 2025 at Ramakrishna Mission, Krishnanagar.

The programme began at 9.00 a.m. with the chanting of Vedic mantras and opening songs by the students of GAP. Swami Anandamayananda delivered the welcome address and felicitated all the speakers. Swami Mangaleshananda then spoke elaborately on the ideals of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission.

Two special guests graced the Convention: Sri Tarun Goswami, renowned journalist, and Swami Dhyeyananda of Belgharia Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home. Sri Tarun Goswami gave an inspiring lecture on Swami Vivekananda, highlighting the role of parents in shaping the future of their children in the light of Swamiji’s message. Swami Dhyeyananda delivered a valuable talk on spiritual striving and fulfilment in the present-day context of rapid scientific and technological advancement.

A half-hour Question–Answer session followed. Thereafter, devotional songs and the chanting of Ramakrishna Saranam marked the conclusion of the Convention at 1.15 p.m. Lunch prasad was served to about 150 devotees.
