Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong observed POSHAN Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission) at Wahkhen Village, East Khasi Hills District in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department (Tribal Affairs) and Meghalaya State Commission for Women on 21 Sep 2020.
A doctor from the Charitable Dispensary was accompanied by Two Monastics to the village to spread awareness to the villagers regarding this years’ theme “Severe Acute Malnutrition”.
The centre also observed POSHAN Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission) at its Charitable Dispensary on 29 Sep 2020. Mrs. I. War. Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department (Tribal Affairs) and Meghalaya State Commission for Women addressed local women regarding health and hygiene and its relevance in the present scenario.
In total, the centre distributed 270 masks, 135 multivitamin syrup, banana and cake among 135 children and women
