On 20th March 2026, the newly constructed “Nand Kishor Somani Oncology Block” was inaugurated at Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindavan, by Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the Hon’ble President of India. The ceremony, marked by Vedic chanting, was held in the presence of Swami Vimalatmananda ji Maharaj (Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission), Smt. Anandiben Patel (Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh), and several state cabinet ministers. The event featured the formal unveiling of the plaque and floral offerings to the Holy Trio and Sri Radhakrishna, followed by a public meeting at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium attended by over 400 guests.
This state-of-the-art facility is the most advanced cancer center in Western Uttar Pradesh and its bordering districts, equipped with world-class technology such as TrueBeam (HyperArc) and Halcyon Focus radiotherapy systems, Bravos Brachytherapy, and fully modular operation theatres. Designed to serve 14 surrounding districts across multiple states, the block also includes a chemotherapy day-care unit and an specialized OPD, significantly enhancing the region’s capacity for high-end oncological care.
