In a celebration of acadeThe Vijnanananda Dham — Gym-cum-Yoga Building at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda was inaugurated on Saturday, 25th July, 2026. The building was constructed with the generous support of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The inauguration was performed by Shri B. Parameswaran, I.A.S., Commissioner-cum-Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, who unveiled the inaugural plaque and offered Arati to the Holy Trio amidst the blowing of conch shells and Vedic Chanting. Shri Anil Kumar Mahato, Coordinator — CSR, RVNL, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
A public meeting was subsequently held at the Vivekananda Hall. Shri B. Parameswaran addressed the gathering on academic excellence and diverse career opportunities for students. Shri Anil Kumar Mahato inspired the students by highlighting the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
A vibrant cultural programme presented by the students was highly appreciated by all. It featured a mime show on the harmful effects of excessive smartphone and social media use, a pyramid show depicting mythological themes including Tridev, Dashavatara, Samudra Manthan, Karna’s Kavach Kundal, and the Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath, and a spirited tribal dance performance.
Swami Gitatmananda, Secretary of the Ashrama, welcomed and introduced the guests, and expressed sincere gratitude to RVNL for their support in providing tribal students a dedicated space for physical and mental development. Swami Prabhuvarananda proposed the vote of thanks.
