1. Introduction
The Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, officially inaugurated a Free Computer Training Centre at its Village Empowerment Centre on Friday, November 14, 2025. This initiative is aimed at providing essential digital literacy and skill development to underprivileged boys and girls in the local community, upholding the Mission’s commitment to youth development and empowerment.
2. Inauguration Ceremony
The new facility was formally inaugurated by Swami Swatmaramananda, the President of the Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Durban. His presence marked a significant international blessing for the local welfare project.
3. Centre Details and Objective
The Free Computer Training Centre begins operations with an initial setup of six computer units, providing a focused learning environment for the youth.
The primary objective of the centre is to bridge the digital divide by offering quality, accessible training in computer fundamentals and practical applications. This foundational knowledge will be crucial in equipping the beneficiaries with the necessary skills to compete successfully in the modern employment market and pursue higher educational opportunities.
