A special lecture under the purview of the Vivekananda Study Circle was organized by Ramakrishna Kutir, Almora, at Vivekananda BaOn 19 November 2025, three important facilities at Ramakrishna Kutir, Almora were inaugurated by Revered Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission.
The programme marked the opening of:
- Vivekananda Bhavan (Students’ Home)
- Shivananda Kutir (Restoration Project)
- Turiyananda Divyasmriti Museum
Senior dignitaries present included Prof. (Dr.) Satpal Singh Bisht, Vice-Chancellor, Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora, and Swami Sarvalokananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi.
1. Vivekananda Bhavan (Students’ Home)
The newly constructed Vivekananda Bhavan, a residential facility for students of Almora College and Soban Singh Jeena University, was inaugurated.
- A two-storey building with 9 rooms, it can accommodate 30 students.
- The project was funded by RVNL under its CSR scheme.
- Structural design and architectural work were carried out by Shri Manoj Mehra, Bageshwar.
2. Shivananda Kutir (Restoration)
The 87-year-old Shivananda Kutir was restored to its original architectural character and dedicated to the public.
- It will now serve as a guest house for devotees.
- Restoration was funded by a devotee from the USA.

3. Turiyananda Divyasmriti Museum
A new museum, Turiyananda Divyasmriti Museum, was ceremonially opened in the hall below the temple.
Funding was mainly through INTACH’s CSR support, with the remaining provided by a devotee.
It displays personal articles of Swami Turiyananda and Swami Subodhananda and many rare photographs of Ramakrishna Kutir.
Conservation and display work were executed by the INTACH Delhi Chapter.
