Srimat Swami Suhitananda Ji Maharaj, Vice President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, visited the Ramakrishna Mission in Colombo from 18th to 23rd February 2025.
During his stay, he toured three welfare centres in the Jaffna area—Urumpirai, Kilinochi, and Point Pedro. At Urumpirai, he also inaugurated a Smart Classroom.
He visited Jaffna Hindu College, the site where Swami Vivekananda delivered his historic lecture.
On 20th February, he addressed a gathering at the Colombo Centre, and on 22nd February, he administered mantra diksha to 20 aspirants in Colombo.
Additionally, he visited several historically significant sites, including the Bodhi Tree at Anuradhapura, the Tooth Temple (Dalada Maligava) in Kandy, and Kelani Vihara, where Swamiji once beheld the large reclining Buddha statue.
