Inauguration of the Community Hall: Naora, January 2026

Ramakrishna Math, Naora, celebrated its Annual General Utsav on January 22, 2026, coinciding with the holy 161st Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Trigunatitanandaji Maharaj. The day was marked by spiritual fervor, cultural performances, and the significant inauguration of a new facility for the community.


Inauguration of the Community Hall

A major highlight of the celebrations was the official inauguration of the newly constructed “Community Hall.” * Officiating Guest: The hall was inaugurated by Revered Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission.

  • Public Meeting: Following the inauguration, Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj presided over a public meeting, setting a formal and celebratory tone for the day’s proceedings.

Spiritual Discourses and Sessions

The event featured profound spiritual discussions held at the Trigunatitananda Hall, focusing on the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and Swami Trigunatitanandaji Maharaj.

  • Distinguished Speakers: Participating monastics included Revered Swami Sarvalokanandaji Maharaj (Secretary, RKM New Delhi) and Revered Swami Sarvabhutanandaji Maharaj (Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Balaram Mandir).
  • Youth-Focused Session: A dedicated meeting titled “Real Student Life According to Swamiji” was held. This session featured Revered Swami Jnanalokanandaji Maharaj (Secretary, Swamiji’s Ancestral House) and Sri Sakti Prasad Mishra (Ex-Teacher, RKM Vidyapith, Purulia), with Swami Suparnanandaji Maharaj (Secretary, RKM Institute of Culture, Gol Park) presiding.

Cultural and Devotional Programs

The Utsav was enriched by a diverse array of cultural and devotional activities:

  • Music: Devotional songs were performed by Revered Swami Ekabratanandaji Maharaj (Secretary, RKM Calcutta Students’ Home), followed by Ramnam Sankirtan and Geeti Alokhya.
  • Demonstrations: Students and participants presented displays of Yoga, Drill, Dance, and Bratachari.
  • Drama: The day concluded with a Yatra performance titled “Surya Putra Karna.”

Participation

The celebration saw an overwhelming response from the community, with more than 7,000 devotees, students, and well-wishers in attendance. Monks and Brahmacharins from nearby centers also participated in the festivities. In the spirit of service, noon Prasad was served to everyone present.
