International Yoga Day 2026: Sribhumi

International Yoga Day 2026 was observed at Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi (Karimganj), on 21 June 2026, within the Mission premises.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Mission authorities and was led by the Physical Education Teacher of the institution. Enthusiastic participation was witnessed from students of the Mission Hostel, GAP students, final-year Philosophy students of Karimganj College, along with volunteers, devotees, and parents associated with the Mission.

The programme commenced with prayers, followed by a brief introduction on the significance of Yoga in promoting physical health, mental concentration, emotional balance, and spiritual well-being. Thereafter, various Yogasanas, Pranayama, and relaxation exercises were demonstrated and practised under proper guidance.

Active engagement was shown by the participants throughout the session. The observance served as a meaningful occasion for promoting healthy living, self-discipline, and inner harmony among the participants, in keeping with the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.

The programme concluded with prayers for peace and the welfare of all. The celebration was appreciated by the participants and was noted to have inspired many to incorporate Yoga into their daily lives.
