RaRamakrishna Mission, Rajamahendravaram Centre, organized the ‘Jagruti’ Cultural & Literary Competitions for school and college students across the twin Telugu states from August 2024 to April 2025. The contests, conducted in the form of written quizzes, were based on the Telugu book ‘Bharata Jatiki Na Hitavu’ (Swami Vivekananda – His Call to the Nation).
A significant aspect of this initiative was the collaboration with the Department of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, which enabled the competitions to be held in 60 Government Polytechnic Colleges, drawing the participation of 7,489 students.
In total, 60,252 students from 417 schools and 111 colleges enthusiastically took part in the competitions, reflecting a wide reach and inspiring impact of Swami Vivekananda’s ideals among the youth.
