Lamp Lighting Ceremony at RKMS Vrindavan


The oath-taking ceremony, also known as Lamp Lighting Ceremony, of the 38th Batch of Nursing Students & Annual Day Celebrations were held on Wednesday, 11 December, 2019  at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindaban.

The Chief Guest Prof. (Mrs.) Pranati Barua, Principal, College of Nursing, Metro Hospital, New Delhi and the Guest of Honour Shri Namdeo Kadam, Asst. General manager, General Insurance Corp. of India, Mumbai inspired the students and stressed the need for professionalism and dedication in nursing. Swami Satyeshananda ji, Asst. General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur math, West Bengal presided over the function. Maharaj, in his motivational speech, inspired the students and emphasized the need for good character while appealing one and all to do their duty with an attitude of service, love and care in the light of the life of Florence Nightingale.

The Chief Guest along with Ms. Renu Bala Singh, Principal, Ramakrishna Mission School of Nursing, Vrindavan lit the lamp while the fresh batch of students lit their candles from it and took the Oath of Service preceded by Vedic chanting. Refreshments were served to all the guests and students.

On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions participated by the nursing students. Prizes were also distributed to the candidates for their best performance in Value Education and best out-going girl this year.
