Under the funding support of Infosys Foundation through Ramakrishna Math and Mission Headquarters, the Maternity & Child Welfare Services Project was conducted by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati at Borgaon Tea Garden area, Morigaon District, during May 2025.
Pregnant women and children from various communities, including tribal and general categories, benefited from the services. A medical team consisting of specialist and general doctors, along with pharmacists and health assistants, operated under the direct supervision of a monastic member.
Routine Antenatal Check-ups (ANC) were conducted for pregnant mothers. Free medicines, including Calcium, Iron, Folic Acid, Multivitamins, and other essential drugs, were distributed. Additionally, nutritional supplements such as protein powder, fresh fruits, and dry fruits (cashews, dates, and pistachios) were provided. Children were also given essential medicines and supplementary nutrition, including milk and Junior Horlicks.
