Matri-Puja: Sribhumi, September 2025

A series of devotional and service-oriented programmes were observed by Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi (Assam) in connection with Mahalaya and Sri Sri Durga Puja.

On 21 September 2025, the eve of Mahalaya, 606 mothers from the community were honored and presented with offerings in the spirit of worship and service.

On the auspicious day of Sri Sri Durga Puja, the ceremony of Matri-Puja was devoutly observed. During this event, 606 widows were respectfully provided with a bag containing essential items — one sari, one bedsheet, 2 kg potatoes, 1 kg dal, 500 gms soyabean, and two bathing soaps. The offerings were accepted with blessings and gratitude, and both occasions were marked by an atmosphere of devotion, reverence, and noble service.

On 22 September 2025408 saris were distributed among local mothers with great joy and devotion.

Further, on 24 September 2025200 saris were distributed in Hailankandi and 150 saris in Sri Gouri Village among local mothers.
