The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Viveknagar, Agartala, successfully conducted its annual “Bastra Bitaran” (Garment Distribution) Programme to serve marginalized communities on the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja. The service activity was carried out during the period from Mahalaya to Panchami Tithi.
The distribution focused on assisting mothers and children from marginalized families as well as a significant number of Footpath-Dwellers across various locations.

A total of 815 persons were directly benefited through the distribution of these new garments.
The relief work covered multiple areas, ensuring broad reach to the needy. The key areas served were: Viveknagar, Gangail, Udaipur, Bhagavandas Chowdhury Para, and Ambasa (Dhalai District). This initiative provided essential new clothing, bringing relief and festive cheer to those in difficult circumstances during the major festival.
