On 2 August 2026, Ramakrishna Math, Rajkot participated in the nationwide campaign ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva For Viksit Bharat’, launched on the same date by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Acting on instructions received from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, communicated through the Headquarters at Belur Math, the centre organised special public awareness programmes simultaneously across 60 locations throughout Gujarat. Approximately 10,000 young men and women participated enthusiastically in these events.
The programmes were conducted across a wide range of educational and social institutions. Key venues included:

At the Rajkot centre, the programme featured talks on the theme of a drug-free society, delivered by invited speakers as well as students. A pledge ceremony was conducted, during which all participants solemnly resolved to lead drug-free lives and committed to actively spreading anti-addiction awareness within their communities. The participants also listened to the live address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister as part of the virtual national launch event. A two-way video conferencing facility was arranged to enable real-time participation in the Prime Minister’s address.
Across all 60 venues, the youth present pledged collectively to build a drug-free society and to serve as ambassadors of anti-addiction awareness in their respective communities, embodying the ideal of selfless and responsible citizenship as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.
