On 19 July 2026, Ramakrishna Mission, Chengalpattu organised a Free Eye Camp at Veeranakunnam, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, as part of its ongoing medical outreach and humanitarian service activities.
A total of 113 patients availed of the camp’s screening services. The gender-wise distribution of those screened was as follows:

Of the 113 patients screened, 26 patients (7 male and 19 female) were identified as requiring surgical intervention and were admitted to an eye hospital in Chennai for cataract operations. In addition, 71 patients (28 male and 43 female) were provided free spectacles at the camp.
