Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Smriti Mandir, Khetri, celebrated National Sports Day 2026 with a series of programmes held under the inspiring national theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat.”
The celebrations commenced on 29 August 2026 with a Yoga Session at the Ajit-Vivek Museum Open Theatre Campus. The session was conducted by Sri Jitendra Kumar, Doctor of Yoga Science, and was attended by around 50 enthusiastic youth participants.
On 30 August 2026, the Mission organised “MARATHON KHETRI”, a community marathon aimed at promoting physical fitness and a spirit of healthy participation. The marathon, held from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., saw the participation of 50 runners and covered the route from Swami Vivekananda Nagari Gate, Kolihan Nagar, to the front gate of the Ajit-Vivek Museum.
The top three positions were secured by Shri Amit Gurjar (Taal), Shri Manoj Kumar Meena (Nevari), and Shri Suresh Kumar Gurjar (Basiyal). The winners were presented with cash prizes and copies of Swadesh Mantra.
The smooth conduct of the marathon was made possible through the dedicated support of Vivek Vahini volunteers, Khetri Police, led by S.I. Buddhi Prasad ji, and the medical team from Khetri Government Hospital, led by Dr. Ajit Singh ji. Media representatives, including Gopal Sharma and Dinesh Sonagra, also extended their support.
The programmes successfully promoted physical fitness, discipline, and community participation, reflecting the true spirit of National Sports Day and the message of “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat.”
