Ramakrishna Math, Konampatti organised a Parenting Programme on 2 September 2026 at the premises of V.S.K. Duraiswamy Nadar Girls Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Sivakasi, for the parents of students enrolled in the institution.
The programme was conceived in recognition of the pivotal role that parents play in shaping the values and character of the younger generation — particularly in the present age of rapid technological change and the shifting cultural currents associated with Generation Z. Guided by the conviction that reaching and equipping parents is among the most effective means of nurturing children, the session embraced the approach that “Catch the Parents of the Young” is, in the current context, no less vital than the time-honoured principle of “Catch them Young.”
The Principal and Vice-Principal of the school participated actively in the programme and facilitated effective coordination between the organisers and the assembled parents. Approximately 50 parents attended the session and engaged with its content with evident interest. At the conclusion of the programme, participants availed themselves of books published by the Centres of the Ramakrishna Order, acquiring literature suited to guide them in their responsibilities as parents and householders.
The programme reflected the Math’s abiding commitment to extending its educational and cultural outreach beyond the student community to encompass the family as a whole — recognising the household as the primary seat of values formation.
