The 34th National Youth Day was celebrated at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati on 12th January, 2018.
On 7th January 2018 various competition like drawing, Speech and Devotional and patriotic song were conducted among the students of various schools of Guwahati at the Ashrama premises. About 100 Students participated in the competitions.
On 12th January, 2018, a public meeting was held at Vivekananda Hall and prizes were distributed to winners of the above competitions.
The programme started with the Vedic Chanting and felicitation. Welcome address was given by Swami Atmashuddhananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati. Dr. Nilmohan Roy, Professor, Pandu College was the Chief Guest. Swami Japeshwarananda spoke on Swami Vivekananda on this occasion. The 1st prize winners of the Song and Speech competitions also performed songs and delivered speeches respectively.
A Short Play were performed by the students of Gadadhar Abhyuday Prakalpa (GAP).
