On 12th January 2024, Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar, celebrated National Youth Day at Vivekananda Hall in the Math premises. The day began with a prabhat pheri (rally) organised in the Ashram locality at 8:30 am. Subsequently, a seminar took place at 11:00 am, with 400 participants, mostly students from various schools and colleges.
The program was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Sri Raghubar Das, who served as the Chief Guest. Sri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS (Retd), participated as the Guest of Honour. Prof. (Dr) Sabita Acharya, V.C. of Utkal University Bhubaneswar, joined as the distinguished speaker during the seminar.
In the second session of the program, Swami Aryanandaji (Asst. Secretary) of Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar, and Prof. Vedamati Patnaik from KISS University, Bhubaneswar delivered inspiring speeches. Swami Atmaprabhanandaji, the Secretary of the Ashrama, delivered the welcome and introduction speech. Students from various institutions spoke on Swami Vivekananda and performed patriotic songs.
All participants were provided with breakfast and lunch during the event, which concluded at 3:30 pm. As a token of appreciation, books on Thakur, Ma, and Swamiji were presented to all participants as gifts.
