Ramakrishna Math (Gadadhar Ashrama), Kolkata observed the National Youth Day on 12th January 2024.
A colourful procession had been organised, in association with Vivekananda Adarsha Milan Mandir, comprising about 300 students, teachers, devotees and admirers, carrying the holy portraits of Swami Vivekananda accompanied by two Band parties and three matador vans with arrangements for devotional songs. The procession commenced at 7.30 AM from the Ashrama following the route through Harish Chatterjee Street, Balaram Bose Ghat Road, Harish Mukherjee Road and Suhasini Ganguly Sarani and back to the ashrama, where a meeting was held.
Food packets, containing Khichuri Prasad, Veg. Curry and Payesh were distributed amongst the participants.
In the evening Swami Muktikamananda, Adhyaksha, inaugurated the ‘Vivek Mela’ at Harish Park which will continue till Netaji’s Birthday on 23rd January 2024.
