National Youth Day 2024 : Visakhapatnam


Viveka Shobha Yatra : 6 January 2024

Over 5,000 students turned out for Visakhapatnam’s vibrant Viveka Shobha Yatra, celebrating National Youth Day despite Pongal holidays. The 2.9km march, starting from Govt. Women’s College to the Swami Vivekananda Statue, showcased youth spirit and dedication.

Dr. Pola Bhaskar, IAS, Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh flagged off the rally, and prominent figures like IRS officials, railway officials, and the Municipal Commissioner added to the festivity. Enroute, public receptions by organizations and hospitals fueled the excitement.

The highlight came at the Central Revenue Staff Quarters, where IRS officers and families led a grand reception, joining the march with renewed energy. Finally, all participants offered Pushpanjali to Swami Vivekananda, culminating the inspiring event.

Every student received a food packet and a book on Swami Vivekananda, cherishing the day’s message and memories.



National Youth Day : 12 January 2024

Apart from the annual ‘Viveka Shobha Yatra’, the Main Event of National Youth Day in Visakhapatnam, a formal function was organised at the ashrama High School, synchronizing the School Annual Day.
