Ramakrishna Mission, Indore, observed National Youth Day, commemorating the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, with a series of programs aimed at inspiring and educating the youth.
1. Interschool Quiz Competition:
A two-stage interschool quiz competition on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda was conducted. A total of 3050 students from 24 schools participated in the first phase, held within their respective schools. The top-performing students from each school then advanced to the second phase, held at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Indore.
The winners of the final round were awarded cash prizes of Rs. 5000/-, Rs. 3000/-, and Rs. 2000/-, respectively, along with literature on Swami Vivekananda. Additionally, 60 students who participated in the second phase, as well as each of the participating schools, received books on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
2. Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Indore:
A cultural program was organized at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Indore, on January 12, 2025. Students presented captivating songs and addresses on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, along with demonstrations of various asanas, including Surya Namaskar. Intra-school competitions, such as speech, ‘Swadesh Mantra’ recitation, and drawing, were also conducted, and the winners were awarded prizes during the program. Swami Nirvikarananda and the school principal addressed the students, imparting valuable insights.
3. Shishukunj School, Indore:
On January 11, 2025, Swami Nirvikarananda addressed the students of Shishukunj School, Indore, on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
4. Sri Vaishnav Arts and Commerce College:
On January 6, 2025, Swami Nirvikarananda delivered a talk on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda to the students of Sri Vaishnav Arts and Commerce College.
