The Procession The event commenced at the Chengam bus stand, where the District Education Officer (DEO) of Thiruvannamalai officially flagged off the procession. A beautifully decorated ratham (chariot) carrying a portrait of Swami Vivekananda led the way through the city’s four main roads.

The procession saw enthusiastic participation from:

  • 400 students from the Ramakrishna Math school.
  • 260 students from local government schools.
  • Numerous local dignitaries and members of the general public.

As the ratham moved through the streets, local shopkeepers and residents offered aarti and garlanded the portrait of Swamiji. In a gesture of devotion and community spirit, Prasad was distributed to all participants and onlookers along the route.

Concluding Ceremony The procession culminated at the school campus, where a concluding meeting was held. The session was presided over by Smt. Manasa Rajaram, Head of Data Analysis at Bounteous, Chennai, who addressed the gathering on the significance of Swami Vivekananda’s message for today’s youth.
