Ramakrishna Math, Mekhliganj, celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2026, the sacred Birthday of Swami Vivekananda, with due solemnity and enthusiasm.
The programme began with the offering of garland and arati to Swamiji by the Adhyaksha Maharaj. This was followed by a colourful procession organised from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon. The procession commenced with the traditional conch-blowing, creating a devotional and inspiring atmosphere.
The procession started from Ramakrishna Math Shishu Vidyapith. A decorated vehicle carried a large cut-out of Swamiji, while students carried banners displaying Swamiji’s inspirational messages. Many students at the front participated in the procession dressed as the Holy Trio—Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
About 150 participants, including students, teachers, guardians, and local devotees, took part in the procession with great enthusiasm. Refreshments were served to all the participants at the end of the programme.
