Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip, celebrated the 164th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day 2026 with a series of inspiring events designed to foster character-building and national pride.
Commemorative Rally (12 January 2026)
On the morning of 12 January, a grand rally was held through the streets of Nabadwip town.
- Participation: More than 600 individuals, including students, NCC cadets, devotees, and local citizens, joined the procession.
- Procession Highlights: The rally featured beautifully decorated tableaus and portraits of Sriman Mahaprabhu, Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
Youth Conference (11 January 2026)
A day-long conference was organized to engage young minds with Swamiji’s vision for India.
- Delegates: 130 youth participants attended the session.
- Keynote Speakers: The congregation was addressed by:
- Swami Taponisthananda, Headmaster, Sargachhi Ramakrishna Mission High School.
- Swami Amareshwarananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip.
- Dr. Shubhabrata Dhar, Professor, Seacom Skills University.
- Sri Sabyasachi Mondal, Vice President, Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip.
- Discussion Themes: Speakers emphasized the importance of self-character building as the foundation for building a stronger nation.
- Interactive Segment: The program, anchored by Sri Sandip Pal (Assistant Secretary, RKM Nabadwip), included a lively question-and-answer session where participants shared their personal thoughts and experiences.
Cultural Competitions (17 January 2026)
To nurture local talent and spiritual awareness, a multifaceted cultural competition was held. Events included:
- Drawing and Song competitions.
- Recitation and Swadesh Mantra chanting.
- Speeches and Quiz sessions focused on the life and legacy of Swami Vivekananda.
