The 206th birth anniversary of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was observed on 26 September 2026 at the Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa, Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa and Free Coaching Centre of Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip.
Swami Amareshwarananda, Secretary of the Ashrama, along with the teachers, spoke to the students about the life, ideals and contributions of Pandit Vidyasagar. The speakers highlighted his dedication to education, social reform and the welfare of society, inspiring the students to learn from his exemplary life.
The students participated enthusiastically in the programme. Some of them presented devotional and patriotic songs, recited poems and delivered speeches on the life and achievements of Pandit Vidyasagar.
The programme provided the students with an opportunity to learn about the life and ideals of one of Bengal’s most revered educationists and social reformers and to reflect on their relevance in contemporary society.
