National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, was observed at our Raiganj centre on 12 January 2026 in a simple yet solemn manner. A number of distinguished guests from Raiganj graced the occasion.
The programme began with the garlanding of Swamiji’s statue on the Ashrama campus, followed by the recitation of the Swadesh Mantra by Brahmachari Aritra. Sri Shubhendu Mukherjee, a member of the Managing Committee, then addressed the gathering, emphasising the relevance of the day and Swamiji’s inspiring message for the youth. The observance concluded with a devotional closing song rendered by Sri Ashim Chowdhury. Altogether, fifty participants attended the programme, and tiffin packets were served to all.
At our Sub-centre in Chhatrapur, National Youth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Cultural competitions were organised, followed by a procession carrying photographs and messages of Swamiji. Nearly three hundred youths, devotees, and children took part. Sweets and tiffin packets were distributed at the end of the procession. In the evening, a cultural programme and prize distribution ceremony were held, bringing the day’s celebration to a meaningful conclusion.
