The Rajamahendravaram center celebrated National Youth Day 2026 with a series of events aimed at inspiring students and serving the community through spiritual and social outreach.
Youth Convention (7 January 2026)
A Youth Convention was organized on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, serving as a precursor to the main celebrations.
- Participation: A total of 450 students attended the convention.
- Speakers: The assembly was addressed by Smt. Srilakshmi (Secretary, District Legal Services Authority), Sri N.R. Subrahmanyam (Retired Principal of DIET College), and the resident Swamijis.
- Distribution: Every student received a set of Swami Vivekananda’s literature, and laminated photographs of Swamiji were presented to the participating institutions.
Vivekananda Shobha Yatra and Commemoration (12 January 2026)
On the morning of 12 January, the center organized the Vivekananda Shobha Yatra, a grand procession starting from the Ramakrishna Math and concluding at Vivekananda Circle.
- Chief Guest: Sri Raghavendra Rao, District Additional Judge, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
- Garlanding Ceremony: Monks and dignitaries offered floral tributes and garlanded the statue of Swami Vivekananda at Kambala Tank.
- Participants: Students from the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence (V.I.H.E.) and the Vivekananda Akshara Pathashala (V.A.P.) actively participated in the procession and the garlanding ceremony.
- Proceedings: All students joined in a collective recitation of the “Swadeshi Mantra” and Swamiji’s quotes. This was followed by motivational talks from the Chief Guest and Swamijis.
- Refreshments: Prasad was distributed to all attendees following the morning program.
Narayana Seva (Evening, 12 January 2026)
The celebrations concluded in the evening with a dedicated session of Narayana Seva.
- Community Service: 180 ration kits were distributed to municipal sanitary workers in recognition of their service.
- Hospitality: Prasad was served to all attendees of the evening service.
