Ramakrishna Mission, Rourkela, observed National Youth Day with a series of programs organized in collaboration with the Vivekananda Youth Club (Hamirpur), students from City English School, and local devotees. The day commenced with a spirited procession, followed by a solemn ceremony at the Ashrama campus.
Participants offered floral tributes at the statue of Swami Vivekananda amidst the soul-stirring notes of Vedic chanting. The program continued with a collective recitation of the Swadesh Mantra in Odia, followed by bhajans and an insightful discussion on the life and teachings of Swamiji. More than 350 attendees participated in the morning session.
In a significant move to serve the community, the afternoon witnessed the inauguration of the Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra at City English School. This new initiative is dedicated to providing quality educational support to less privileged children in the region.
