Ramakrishna Ashrama Nepal, Kathmandu, has contributed NPR 1,001,000 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund of the Government of Nepal towards the ongoing relief efforts in Rasuwa and other remote flood-affected areas.
Following the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, the Government of Nepal has adopted a ‘one-door system’ for coordinating relief assistance, enabling the systematic collection and distribution of funds and relief materials to those affected.
In view of the prevailing situation and the government’s coordinated relief mechanism, Ramakrishna Ashrama Nepal decided to make a contribution to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support the ongoing rescue and relief operations being carried out by the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and local authorities.
The Ashrama also plans to support reconstruction and rehabilitation of educational institutions, public service facilities and other community infrastructure in the affected areas, based on a thorough on-site assessment of needs and in coordination with the concerned authorities.
