Inauguration of Ramakrishna Mission, Villupuram

A new branch centre of the Ramakrishna Mission at Villupuram was inaugurated on the auspicious day of the Phalaharini Kali Puja, 2 June 2019.

A special Puja was performed to Sri Ramakrishna followed by Vedic Chanting and Bhajans by the Monks and Brahmacharins, and Homa, Yati Puja.

Srimat Swami Gautamananda ji presided over the public function and delivered the benedictory address.

The three Institutions of the Sri Ramakrishna Educational Society, Villupuram were formally handed over to the Ramakrishna Mission in the presence of Swami Divyananda ji and Swami Muktidananda ji.

Swami Tanmayananda ji, Swami Kamalatmananda ji and other senior monks shared their experiences about the origin and growth of the three institutions of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Society, Villupuram.

Benedictory addresses of Most Revered President Maharaj and Revered General Secretary Maharaj were read out in English and translated in Tamil as well.

District Collector, Chief Educational Officer, and other officials from the Government of Tamil Nadu participated and delivered talks.  Tree saplings were planted marking this memorable event.

Managing Committee Members of Sri Ramakrishna Educational Society, Villupuram, and other dignitaries were honoured for their extraordinary contribution to the growth of these educational institutions. In total 53 Sadhus, 300 devotees, 270 staff and 1500 students attended the function.
