Nutritional and Medical Support: Mumbai, March 2026

Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai

UnRamakrishna Mission, Mumbai, has been actively supporting patients suffering from chronic illnesses through targeted nutritional interventions. From late 2025 through March 2026, the center focused on cancer and TB patients, as well as recovering female patients.


1. Sarada Kripa Nidhi (Cancer Care)

Under this initiative, specialized Dry Ration Kits were distributed to patients suffering from cancer to ensure they maintain the necessary hygiene and nutrition during treatment.

  • Period: December 2025 to 24th March 2026
  • Reach: 16 beneficiaries from 8 families.
  • Kit Contents: Atta (2kg), Rice (2kg), Soybean nuggets (250g), Mung Daal (1kg), Sunflower oil (1L), Salt (0.5kg), assorted spices, biscuits, detergent, and bath soap.

2. Ramakrishna Mission Hospital Initiatives

TB Patient Support

To aid in the recovery of those battling Tuberculosis, the hospital provides monthly Nutrition Supplement Kits.

  • Volume: 150 kits distributed between December 2025 and February 2026.
  • Scale: 50 patients are supported every month.

Holistic Nutrition for Female Patients

Launched in August 2025, this project specifically assists female patients being discharged from the In-Patient Department (IPD) to ensure continued recovery at home.

  • Key Contents: High-protein and mineral-rich items including Brown Rice (1kg), Green Moong Dal (1kg), Roasted Chana (1kg), Roasted Peanuts (1kg), Jowari Atta (2kg), Nachani (Ragi) Atta (2kg), and assorted dry fruits.
  • Impact: 198 beneficiaries (December 2025 – February 2026).
