On 27 and 28 March 2026, a two-day Youth Camp was organized for NSS students from Vivekananda College, Chennai. The program focused on a blend of physical service, cultural awareness, and spiritual development, providing a holistic experience for the participants.
The camp featured hands-on community service through cleanliness drives at Thanjavur Samuthiram Lake and Sri Sarada Vanam. Students participated in yoga sessions led by Smt. Sangeetha and engaged in traditional team-building activities like Uriyadithal and tug-of-war. Educational segments included heritage talks on Thanjavur by Er. Muthukumar and life guidance sessions by Dr. Radhika Michael, Teacher Balaguru, and Dr. Rajesh.
A significant highlight included spiritual discourses by Swami Vimurtananda, who spoke on the life of Lord Sri Rama and essential qualities to learn from Swami Vivekananda. The event concluded with guided meditation and collective deeparadhana, alongside visits to the Sri Brahadeeshwara and Sri Mariamman temples, leaving the students energized and inspired.
