Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chennai organised a One-Day Orientation Programme for teachers on Saturday, 18th July, 2026, at the Ashrama Auditorium. About 145 teachers from the following institutions participated:
- Ramakrishna Mission Higher Secondary School (Main)
- Ramakrishna Mission Higher Secondary School (South)
- Ramakrishna Mission Matriculation Higher Secondary School
- Ramakrishna Mission Nursery and Primary School
- Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home
The programme commenced at 8:45 a.m. with registration and assembly in the Auditorium, preceded by pranams at the Shrine. Swami Shuddhabrahmananda, Assistant Warden, Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Hostel, T. Nagar, led the opening Bhajans.
The Benedictory Address was delivered by Swami Padmasthananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, T. Nagar.
The programme featured the following sessions:

- “Teaching — Today’s Challenges in the Classroom” — Sri K. S. Sundaram, Divisional Manager (Retired), Canara Bank
- “Art of Learning — Insightful Lessons from Ancient Masters” — Dr. Krishnaveni Hariram, Disciple of Pujya Sri Swami Omkarananda, Theni
- Screening of Documentary Film: “Teacher — The Creator of Future”
- “Is the Teacher a Role Model? How?” — Dr. D. C. Mathangi, Professor & Head, Department of Mind Body Medicine & Lifestyle Sciences, Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, SRIHER, Porur, Chennai
The Vote of Thanks was offered by Swami Guruvarananda, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, T. Nagar. The programme concluded at 4:05 p.m. with tea.
Each participant was presented with an English book, a pen, a pouch, and a notepad. Lunch Prasad, tea, and snacks were provided to all attendees..
