In its ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and character building, the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, successfully organized two impactful Personality Development Camps on June 30, 2026, across the Mahasamund district.

The camps were designed to instill core values, leadership skills, and mental focus among students and educators alike.

Event Highlights & Timeline

The camps were systematically conducted across two premier institutions in the region, drawing enthusiastic participation from both students and teaching staff:

  • Session 1: Basna (10:15 AM – 11:30 AM)
    • Venue: Swami Atmananda Govt. English School, Basna
    • Attendance: 180 Students and 35 Teachers
    • Presided By: Miss Girja Sahu, Principal
  • Session 2: Bhukel (12:15 PM – 01:30 PM)
    • Venue: Swami Atmananda Eng-Hindi School, Bhukel (Basna)
    • Attendance: 268 Students and 50 Teachers
    • Presided By: Shri C.S. Patel, Principal

In total, the initiative brought together 448 students and 85 teachers, creating a vibrant atmosphere of learning and self-reflection.

The sessions featured thought-provoking discourses aimed at holistic development. The key speakers for the day included:

  • Swami Prapattyananda (Editor, Ramakrishna Mission Raipur), who spoke on the timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing self-confidence, moral integrity, and concentration.
  • Shri Dinesh Dewangan (Teacher), who shared practical strategies for academic success and daily discipline.
  • Shri K. Purohit (Teacher), who focused on the role of emotional resilience and positive thinking in a student’s life.

Empowering Through Literature

To ensure the thoughts shared during the camp leave a lasting impression, copies of the Vivekjyoti magazine—the monthly Hindi journal of the Ramakrishna Order—were distributed to all 448 students and 85 teachers in attendance. The literature will serve as a source of continuous inspiration for the schools.
