Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Phoenix, in association with its Johannesburg Sub-Centre, distributed relief materials to 195 families in the Phoenix and Johannesburg areas during August 2025.

Items distributed included:

  • Maize Meal – 310 kg
  • Wheat Flour – 25 kg
  • Fortified Cereals – 20 kg
  • Pulses – 225 kg
  • Assorted Vegetables – 380 kg
  • Assorted Spices – 30 kg
  • Salt – 180 kg
  • Soya Chunks – 30 kg
  • Cooking Oil – 515 litres
  • Tinned Food – 460 cans
  • Soup Powder – 40 kg
  • Breakfast Cereal Sachets – 2100 nos
  • Biscuits – 3215 packets
  • Cakes – 150 nos
  • Tea Bags – 5700 nos
  • Milk – 7868 litres
  • Sugar – 555 kg
  • Pasta – 20 kg
  • Porridge – 100 kg
  • Macaroni – 200 kg
  • Loaves of Bread – 175 nos
  • Fruit Juice – 365 litres
  • Flavoured Milk – 183 litres
  • Snacks – 427 kg
  • Sweetmeat – 12 kg
  • Matchboxes – 190 nos
  • Washing Soap – 45 bars
  • Bathing Soap – 95 bars
  • Detergent Powder – 25 kg
  • Tubes of Toothpaste – 25 nos
  • Toothbrushes – 60 nos
  • Adult Napkins – 40 nos
  • Assorted Garments – 100 nos
  • Boost Sachets (18 g each, total = 6 kg) – 300 nos
  • Horlicks Sachets (18 g each, total = 6 kg) – 300 nos
  • Assorted Fruit – 160 kg
  • Coffee – 2 kg
  • Sanitary Pads – 320 nos

  • Educational Toys, Books & Stationery Sets – 300 nos
  • Stationery Packs (389 notebooks, 39 rulers, 39 erasers & 10 pens) – 39 nos
  • Prepaid Electricity Vouchers (Value: South African Rands 300 each) – 2 nos

  • Shoes (pairs) – 101 nos

Medical Relief Work – August 2025
In addition to the above relief activities, the Phoenix Clinic conducted 3274 consultations during the month.
