Under the GAP Project, scholarship support and educational materials were distributed to 22 tribal students from economically disadvantaged families on 31 May 2026, at Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Sikra-Kulingram.
The beneficiaries were students studying in Classes VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and the B.A. course.
Scholarship Assistance
Financial assistance amounting to ₹ 40,300/- was distributed as scholarships to the selected students to support the continuation of their education.
Educational Materials
Educational materials and essential items valued at ₹ 20,238/- were also provided. The items distributed included:
- School bags
- Umbrellas
- Exercise books (8 pieces per student)
- Instrument boxes (13 pieces, distributed to junior students)
- Moral books (4 pieces per student)
- Pencils
Total Assistance
The combined value of support extended to the 22 beneficiaries amounted to INR 60,538/- (INR 40,300/- + INR 20,238/-).
Through this initiative, the centre sought to reduce the financial burden on underprivileged tribal families and to promote educational opportunities among students from marginalized communities.
