A spiritual retreat was organized by Ramakrishna Math, Koyilandy on Sunday, 21 September 2025, to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Subha Mahalaya and the birth anniversary of Srimat Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj.
In honor of Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj’s extraordinary contribution of “Siva jnane, Jiva seva,” sarees and dhotis were distributed to 48 needy families in the village of Arukkulam, Kozhikode district. Each family was presented with one saree and one dhoti.
The evening retreat commenced with Vedic mantras and bhajans, followed by readings from the Holy Trinity.
During the programme, Swami Guneshrayananda from Limdi, Gujarat, performed soulful songs reflecting the messages of Srimat Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj and the significance of Mahalaya (Navaratri).
Subsequently, Swami Yativarananda (Thrissur) and a devotee, Sri Kunhiraman, delivered insightful talks highlighting Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj’s contributions and the Durga Puja at Belur Math.
